Tina Gregoric was born in Slovenia, where she studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana. She finished her postgraduate studies with distinction in 2002 at the Architectural Association in London. Since then, she has worked with Zaha Hadid architects in London and taught at the AA and TU Graz. In 2003 she founded Dekleva Gregorič Architects together with her partner Aljoša Dekleva. In 2014 she became professor of architecture and head of department at the Institute of Architecture at TU Wien.

 

The work of Dekleva Gregorič pursues the concepts of ‘research by design’ and ‘design by research’. She enacts diverse projects with different scales and programmes in diverse climates and localities.

 

Dekleva Gregorič has been nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award several times, was awarded the Wan House of the Year 2015 Award or the International Architecture Awards 2012, just to name a few.

 

Their most well-known projects include the University Campus Livade 1.0 in Izola, Slovenia, XXS house in Ljubljana, or the Cliftop house in Maui, Hawaii.
