Traudy Pelzel, Member of the Brick Award 26 Jury

 
 

Traudy Pelzel co-founder of MAP studio, Venice,graduated in Venice at IUAV in 1994. After her graduation, from 1995 to 1997 she was part of the team who drawn the New Masterplan for
Venice and mainland under the supervision of Professor Leonardo Benevolo. From 1996 to 1997 she was researcher at Eni-Mattei Foundation about “Sustainable Venice: suggestions for the future — Urban Sustainability and Territorial Structure”, this research was published in a volume edited by prof. I. Musu, Kluwer Academic Publisher in 2001. From 1998 to 2002 she was awarded with a research grant by IUAV about “The Metropolitan City of Venice: Contemporary Landscapes”. Since 1998 she wrote several articles about architecture, landscape and infrastructure. Between 2002 to 2006 she has been assistant professor at IUAV in Venezia teaching with Mauro Galantino, Edoardo Souto de Moura, Bernard Lassus.
Since 2002 she is co-founder of MAP studio with Francesco Magnani. She gave lectures on MAP Studio’s research and projects in a variety of Italian and international architectural events.  

MAP studio _ Magnani Pelzel Architetti Associati is an architectural practice founded in Venice by Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel.
The office carries out public and private assignments, combining professional and research activities. The studio works on architecture and town planning projects, feasibility studies, the restoration of existing buildings, and the realization of new buildings, both public and private.
Their work has been awarded several times with Pietro Torta Award, Italian Architect Award, Gold Medal AER Prize - Architettura Emilia-Romagna and many more.
