The BRICK Book is the curated book series published to accompany the BRICK AWARD, documenting outstanding international brick architecture from each award cycle.

Produced every two years, the series presents the nominated and prize‑winning projects of the most recent BRICK AWARD in a carefully designed architecture publication.

The BRICK Book

Book series as a companion to the BRICK AWARD

The BRICK Book is developed in collaboration with Park Books, a leading European publisher specializing in architecture and related fields.

Each volume features in‑depth project texts by internationally recognized architecture critics and journalists, supported by striking photography and detailed drawings.

First published in 2004, the BRICK Book series places brick and other clay building materials firmly in the spotlight, celebrating their enduring relevance as timeless construction materials for forward‑looking, innovative architecture.

BRICK 22

BRICK 22 Edition

Another edtition of our BRICK Book together with Park Books.

The wonderful cover shows the "Elephant Museum" by Boonserm Premthada - Bangkok Project Studio in Thailand.

At the Tenth BRICK AWARD, fifty buildings from four continents were nominated or awarded prizes in five categories. They are all presented in our BRICK 22 Book by means of texts (Authors: Anneke Bokern, Christian Holl, Andres Kurg), images and plans, they exemplify the constant further development of innovative, sustainable and creatively convincing brick architecture.

Matevž Čelik, Anna Cymer, Wojciech Czaja, Isabella Leber and Henrietta Palmer respectively introduce one of the five topic areas with their essays and illuminate historical aspects as well as current trends.

Outstanding projects in the BRICK 20 Book

Our 50 nominated projects for the BRICK AWARD 20 are presented in the BRICK 20 Book. Together with Park Books we present outstanding brick architecture around the world. Enjoy pictures and background information of all nominated projects and discover current developments and trends in international brick architecture. On sale at bookshops and online retailers. BRICK 18

8th edition is on sale at bookshops and online retailers

Over 600 projects from 44 countries were submitted for consideration for the BRICK AWARD 18. The top 50 projects and the prize-winning buildings of the BRICK AWARD are presented in the accompanying, elaborately designed architecture book called BRICK 18. The book gives people with an interest in architecture as well as experts an overview on current developments and trends in international brick architecture with its remarkable range of applications. The book is available online.
