About the Event

Awarding excellent brick architecture and building a network

The biennial BRICK AWARD Ceremony is the flagship international showcase for outstanding brick architecture and the architects behind it. Bringing together architects, critics and design enthusiasts, the ceremony sparks dialogue and debate while shining a global spotlight on the aesthetic, technical and functional potential of brick as a building material.

Beyond the awards presentation, the evening creates a unique platform for exchange, uniting established leaders and rising stars in a celebratory and inspiring atmosphere where ideas are shared and new connections are formed.

BRICK AWARD 26 - Trophy

Reflecting the BRICK AWARD's ethos of celebrating the pinnacle of international design, the trophies presented to the winners are handcrafted by a leader in ceramic design.

For BRICK AWARD 26, the bespoke trophy design was the work of award-winning ceramic artist and architect Maria Gasparian.

Tasked with creating a design that expresses wienerberger’s values of versatility, sustainability and innovation, Maria was invited to visit five wienerberger factories to gain insights into their manufacturing methods and products. The trophies were then manufactured to her exacting specification at wienerberger’s Panningen factory using a custom-made extrusion die, while the glaze colors were specially developed to match the competition categories.
